Lofoten Lights began as a guiding agency. As time has passed, and with the cooperation of numerous people in the local tourism industry, Lofoten Lights today is able to meet the requirements of any type of client. To enable us to respond in an ever more timely and appropriate manner, we began working with the monthly magazine Lofoten Tourist – www.lofottourist.com.
The monthly magazine Lofoten Tourist owes its life to the creativity and professionalism of its chief editor, Alicja Weder.
The Lofoten Islands are views, sites to visit, ancient villages, and museums, but they are also history, culture, folklore and traditions. Through reading, you will discover another aspect of these islands, the aspect least known to tourists; the habits and customs of these people, whose roots are steeped in the Viking culture. The magazine has articles dedicated to the geography, the mythology, cultural events, local traditions, culinary traditions, festivals, special events, and much more besides.
Lofoten Tourist was created to help, guide, and enthuse travellers to the area.
The monthly editions guarantee information which is always new and up-to-date.
A tourist magazine created for “the tourist” and for all those to love to know and understand.
An informative part has been added to the Culture section. “How to Reach Lofoten” answers all the questions of travelers who are planning their first holiday in this small corner of the world. This section has up-to-date information on transport, timetables and relative costs. There is also a valuable section dedicated to “Where to Stay” with a wide selection of hotels, camp-sites, and “Rorbuer” for all tastes and budgets.
If you are independent tourists, who enjoy travelling in freedom, Lofoten Tourist dedicates a section to the most beautiful and interesting locations to visit, and a wide range of activities which can be done in summer, in winter, or throughout the year.
A complete magazine created to respond to the needs and curiosity of our fellow travellers, throughout the year.
