Next, we explore the peaceful island of Gimsøy, the smallest in the Lofoten archipelago. Known for its unique landscapes and rich wildlife, Gimsøy is home to Hoven Mountain, Hov Beach, and the charming Gimsøy Church, a historic wooden church set against a stunning coastal backdrop.
From here, we make our way to Tordvalhalsen, a breathtaking scenic viewpoint along the iconic E10 route. This stop offers a panoramic view of Lofoten’s rugged coastline, making it a perfect spot to capture the essence of the Arctic wilderness.
Continuing our journey, we arrive at Rørvik Beach, a hidden gem with pristine white sand and turquoise waters. Quickly becoming one of the most sought-after beaches in Lofoten, it’s a serene escape where the beauty of the Arctic Ocean meets untouched nature.
Next, we visit Henningsvær, a picture-perfect fishing village where tradition and scenic beauty blend seamlessly. Wander through its colorful streets, take in the lively harbor atmosphere, and marvel at the famous football field set on a rocky island surrounded by the sea.
Our final stop takes us to the impressive Vågan Church, also known as Lofoten Cathedral. Built in 1889, this grand wooden church is the largest in Northern Norway and a true testament to the region’s rich cultural heritage.

Itinerary
Vågan church – Also known as Lofoten Cathedral, is a beautiful wooden church located in Kabelvåg, Lofoten Islands, Norway. Built in 1898 in a Gothic Revival style, it is one of the largest wooden churches in Northern Norway, with a capacity of around 1,200 people.
Henningsvær – A picturesque fishing village in the Lofoten Islands known for its stunning harbor, colorful houses, and dramatic mountain backdrop. The village is famous for its vibrant art scene, cozy cafés, and the iconic Henningsvær Football Field, which sits on a rocky islet.
Rørvik beach – A beautiful white-sand beach in the Lofoten Islands known for its crystal-clear waters and stunning mountain backdrop. While the inviting waters remain quite cold even during the summer months, Rørvikstranda is a popular spot for camping and relaxation, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the stunning natural surroundings.
Gimsøy (Gimsøy church and Hov beach)– Gimsøy is a scenic island in the Lofoten Islands known for its rugged coastline, open landscapes, and rich Viking history. It is home to Hov Beach, a beautiful sandy beach popular for horseback riding and offering stunning views of the Arctic Ocean.
