Discover the north of the archipelago
Discover the most charming views of the north-atlantic part of Lofoten.
Crystal clear waters, turquoise blue sea, and white sandy shores describe the Haukland beach of Lofoten. During winters, the beauty of this region doubles up with towering snow-covered mountains on all sides. Visit and capture this Caribbean-like paradise by joining a winter photography tour by Lofoten Lights. This sightseeing trip includes several secret locations on the islands where the scenery is nothing short of breathtaking!
The trip begins when your guide picks you up from your accommodation at Svolvær. Your ride for the day will be a comfortable minivan that accommodates up to 8 guests and the guide. Since this is a photography tour, take along a good quality camera or phone. You will embark on a remarkable journey across the Lofoten islands, where every corner is worth photographing.
Throughout this sightseeing trip, you will be given tips on taking the best pictures of the incredible locations on the day’s schedule. The first stop is Kabelvåg, a village in Austvågøya, and home to panoramic views of a fjord. The minivan will then drive to Henningsvær, a fishing village in Vågan municipality with a picture-perfect waterfront lined by brightly coloured wooden houses.
The next pit stop is Eggum, a village with some of Norway’s oldest wild rocks. After this, you’ll visit Unstad, a surfer’s ultimate destination where clean beaches and high tide waves overpower the sea. The final stop and highlight of this tour is Haukland beach, a Lofoten gem where there’s an endless sea till the horizon.
Once at the beach, it is time to loosen those muscles and unwind from the long drive. Take a dip in the cool waters or sit by the shore and listen to the crashing waves while clicking some amazing pictures. After taking some fantastic photos and spending a relaxing time at the beach, you will be taken back to your accommodation.
Our professional guide and photographer will drive you to the most famous spots but also secret and unknown corners to help you take the best pictures of the North-Atlantic part. The tour is suitable for anyone who wishes to discover the archipelago and enjoy the beautiful landscapes.
