Lofoten Highlights Photo Tour – Reine, Hamnøy & Å

Lofoten Highlights Photo Tour - Reine, Hamnøy & Å

Embark on an unforgettable adventure through the southern area of Lofoten Islands and discover the beauty of historical fishing villages, stunning beaches and breathtaking views.

Your adventure begins in Svolvær, the heart of Lofoten, as we set off on a scenic drive through some of the archipelago’s most spectacular landscapes. Following winding coastal roads, our first stop is Skagsanden Beach — a stunning stretch of white sand backed by steep mountains and the open ocean. With its ever-changing light and mirror-like reflections, it’s a perfect place for photography and a peaceful walk along the shore.

Continuing south, we arrive in Hamnøy, one of Lofoten’s most iconic fishing villages. Perched on a small peninsula, Hamnøy is famous for its red rorbuer cabins and dramatic mountain backdrop. From the renowned bridge viewpoint, you’ll enjoy one of the most photographed scenes in all of Lofoten.

Just minutes away lies Sakrisøy, instantly recognizable by its bright yellow rorbuer set against deep blue waters and rugged peaks. The island is also home to Anita’s Seafood, where you can sample local specialties and experience authentic coastal flavors.

We then pass through Reine, often called the jewel of Lofoten. Spread across small islands and surrounded by towering peaks and fjords, Reine offers breathtaking views at every turn and a glimpse into traditional Arctic village life.

Our journey concludes in Å i Lofoten, the village at the very end of the road. Rich in fishing history and coastal heritage, Å is known for its traditional rorbuer, cod-drying racks, and dramatic seascapes. Standing at the edge of the archipelago, it’s the perfect final stop — a place where nature, history, and the spirit of Lofoten come together.
